Hanayama Spiral Puzzle
This is a
Very difficult Puzzle
Description
At first glance, this puzzle by Ken Walker of Rivermore, California doesn’t seem un-lockable. The five pieces, however, can most certainly be taken apart and the puzzle is an absolute classic. Putting them back together is a whole new problem in itself. Our suggestion for solving this puzzle would be to not apply too much pressure.
Hanayama classify this as a level 5 puzzle. 1 being the easiest and 6 being the hardest.

- Igor A fine mix of looking utterly impossible to unravel and yet having a cunning solution, if you look closely enough :) And as the other reviewer said, it's a very pleasant item to just play with in the hand while reading, almost like meditation balls - it looks and behaves like something out of Transformers.
- Nigel Oh, it seems so obvious once you can do it... Not just a fine puzzle, of typically solid Hanayama construction, but also a pleasant thing to simply fiddle with.
